Jamaica’s Minister for Science, Technology, Energy and Mining Phillip Paulwell has announced plans to create a ‘super regulatory body’ to monitor the telecoms sector. The new body would combine the functions of existing authorities the Spectrum Management Authority (SMA), the Office of Utilities Regulation (OUR) and the Broadcasting Commission.
