Huawei has carried out what it claims to be the world’s first Long Term Evolution (LTE) 4x4 MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) field trial using the network of German telecoms company Deutsche Telekom (DT). The trials untilised the Chinese vendor’s SingleRAN LTE solution and demonstrated maximum download rates of up to 250Mbps.
