Indotel, the telecoms regulator for the Dominican Republic, is reportedly collaborating with a number of local operators on a project aimed at introducing broadband in those rural regions where such services remain unavailable. According to BNamericas, which cites local news source Listin Diario, the initiative will seek to expand coverage to those border areas of the country still lacking connectivity, with the project expected to complement Indotel’s previous efforts in enhancing broadband access in the Dominican Republic
