TeliaSonera’s open fibre rollouts march on

TeliaSonera Sweden has announced its latest batch of agreements to deploy fibre broadband networks, having signed an open fibre agreement with municipal housing and urban network associations in Ovanaker in Halsingland, under an eight-year contract worth an estimated SEK22 million (USD3.3 million). It also signed a ‘multimillion’ agreement to deploy fibre in Hultsfred municipality, with the aim of signing up 90% of homes and businesses in the municipality to 100Mbps broadband by 2017. In the case of open fibre rollouts, tenants may choose services from multiple service providers offering high speed internet, IPTV and telephony
