Regional US mobile operator C Spire Wireless has announced that it has inaugurated its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network in four Mississippi markets, the first of 31 locations which are scheduled to receive the service before the end of October. A further six markets will be activated by the end of 2012 as part of the company’s rollout plan, while additional expansion in Mississippi and other states is expected in 2013. The initial deployment, which takes the form of 364 cell sites, will cover 2,700 square miles, covering a population of 1.2 million.
