Telecom Mobile, the mobile arm of former fixed line monopoly operator Telecom New Zealand, plans to upgrade parts of its network to Dual Carrier (DC)-HSPA+ technology by Christmas this year, reports the National Business Review. According to Telecom Retail CEO Chris Quin, around 2,500 people in Auckland have been trialing the technology ahead of a commercial launch concentrated on Auckland and Wellington later this year.
