Cubic Telecom signs deal with Woolworth Mobile

Irish mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) Cubic Telecom has signed a deal worth ‘tens of millions of dollars’ with Australian retailer Woolworths. Cubic, which runs a low-cost roaming MVNO business dubbed MAXroam, will use its virtual SIM (multi-IMSI) technology to power a new global roaming product being offered by the retail giant’s own MVNO, Woolworth Mobile. In an interview with TechCrunch, Cubic Telecom director of product and innovation Pat Phelan said that the deal was ’enormous’ for the company
