CAT needs another month to amend True contract

Thai state-run telco CAT Telecom has requested permission to postpone the deadline for amending its 3G network operating partnership contract with True Corp for a month, as it needs more time to gather details and make the contract language as clear as possible to ensure the agreement is legally secure. In June the NBTC ordered CAT to alter key points in the HSPA wholesale/retail agreements signed in January 2011, and CAT was required to finalise the amendments for NBTC approval by the end of last week.
