The French communications operator Infosat Telecom has been given permission by the country’s industry regulator Arcep to trial new IEEE 802.22 wireless technology known as ‘Super Wi-Fi’. Tests will be conducted in the Seine-Maritime region, Telecompaper reports, using the 590MHz-598MHz band.
