New Jersey-based long-distance carrier IDT Telecom has announced that it has joined forces with Paraguayan fixed line incumbent Compania Paraguaya de Comunicaciones (Copaco) to provide international pre-paid calling card services to the tens of thousands of Paraguayans living in Spain and throughout Europe. Initially, Paraguayans in Spain will be able to purchase and use Copaco-branded calling cards where IDT cards are sold, with the two companies planning to distribute the cards through IDT’s extensive distribution network in Europe, which includes over 100,000 retail outlets.
