Telecom Argentina has reported consolidated revenues of ARS10.380 billion (USD2.27 billion) for the six months ended 30 June 2012, an increase of 21% from ARS8.584 million in the year-ago period. Consolidated sales were boosted by a 24% year-on-year rise in mobile service revenue to ARS7.503 billion and an increase of 27% in fixed internet turnover to ARS925 million. The company said that operating profit before depreciation and amortisation (OPBDA) reached ARS3.139 billion in the first half of 2012, up 8% from ARS2.905 billion in H1 2011, while net income totalled ARS1.294 billion, an increase of 1% year-on-year.
