Open Mobile says 2,000 users migrate to LTE per month, using 6GB-7GB data

Puerto Rican CDMA and Long Term Evolution (LTE) operator Open Mobile has reported that since launching commercial LTE services in April this year, customers are migrating to the 4G mobile data platform at a rate of around 2,000 per month, whilst average LTE monthly data consumption stands at 6GB-7GB – a volume the company expects to reach 8GB-9GB, reports BNamericas. Previously, Open Mobile’s average mobile data customer using CDMA2000 1xEV-DO services was consuming around 3GB per month, according to the cellco’s network engineering director Luis Rivera, speaking yesterday
