SK Broadband (SKB) has released its financial results for the three months ended 30 June 2012, with the operator revealing a notable increase in profit, having recorded a net loss in the same quarter of last year. For the three-month period under review SKB posted a net income of KRW3.2 billion (USD2.88 million), more than triple the KRW1.0 billion it registered in 1Q12, and a significant improvement on the KRW1.2 billion loss it recorded in the second quarter of 2011. Such a result came on the back of increased turnover, with SKB generating operating revenues of KRW605.5 billion in 2Q12, representing an 8.6% year-on-year increase.
