Verizon LTE footprint at 196 markets; AT reaches 28

Verizon Wireless and AT&T yesterday both announced additional expansions to their Long Term Evolution (LTE) 4G mobile networks, although Verizon remains far ahead in terms of locations covered. AT&T annou¬nced that it had made LTE services available in Durham, North Carolina; Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties in the Tampa-St Petersburg, Florida area; and in Sarasota and Manatee counties in Florida, taking its LTE footprint to 28 markets. Verizon added Cookeville, TN to its coverage area while also expanding its reach in Little Rock, AR; Rapid City, SD; Clarksville, TN; and San Antonio, TX, and said it now offered LTE services in 196 markets across the US
