Vodafone leapfrogs Tigo to claim second place in mobile race

According to the latest statistics from the National Communications Authority (NCA), Vodafone Ghana has overtaken Millicom International Cellular’s Tigo Ghana unit as the country’s second largest mobile operator by subscribers. Having narrowed the gap in the first half of 2011, the NCA reports that Vodafone gained more net additions than its rival in the September-November period to close the month with 4.179 million connections, compared to 4.030 million for Tigo
