The US operating subsidiary of KDDI Corp, KDDI America, has inked a deal with Russian national operator Rostelecom to launch a low-latency 10Gbps wavelength service between Japan and Europe. According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, in May 2011 KDDI Corp entered into a partnership agreement with Rostelecom to strengthen communications connectivity on a network link between Japan and Russia by improving the Russia-Japan Cable Network (RJCN) and Transit Europe-Asia (TEA) links
