Cellcom picks Ericsson for half of its 4G network upgrade

Swedish vendor Ericsson has been selected by Cellcom, Israel’s largest mobile network operator by subscribers, to upgrade half of its network to offer 4G services, Globes Online reports. With the cellco understood to have selected Finland’s Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) for one half of the network upgrade some six months ago, it has now been confirmed that Ericsson will improve Cellcom’s infrastructure in the south of the country, while NSN takes responsibility for the north.
