Switzerland’s Federal Communications Commission (ComCom) has reduced wholesale prices for unbundled local loop (ULL) lines by approximately 7%. In addition, the regulator reduced the charges for interconnection and co-location, while it also announced that from 2013 it will include new-generation technologies including optical fibre as a basis for its cost-based wholesale access calculations instead of exclusively copper-based infrastructure. ComCom reduced the monthly wholesale access charge for a ULL last mile connection from CHF16.60 (USD17.90) to CHF15.50, retroactively taking effect for the entirety of 2011
