Bangladeshi WiMAX network operator Banglalion Communications has announced that it has reached 200,000 wireless internet subscribers, having doubled its number of users since May this year. As reported by local newspaper The Daily Sun, chairman Abdul Mannan announced at a ceremony to mark the milestone: ‘Bangladesh is no more lagging far from the rest of the world in terms of internet technology as it has been able to introduce 4G broadband internet technology, second in South Asia after Pakistan.’ Banglalion launched in late 2009, competing against another WiMAX internet provider, Auguere Wireless (Qubee)
