Brunei residents will be able to enjoy minimum download speeds of 5Mbps by 2013, following a joint fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) venture between the sovereign state’s government and fixed line incumbent Telekom Brunei (TelBru). The Brunei Times reports that the development was revealed on the final day of the Legislative Council (LegCo) meeting last week, after council member Yang Berhormat Datin Paduka Hjh Salbiah Hj Sulaiman demanded a ‘solution to problems pertaining to the shaky and slow internet service’
