Telecom Namibia, NSN sculpting WACS works

Telecom Namibia has chosen Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) to provide it with a fibre-optic dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) transmission network, reportedly the first of its type to be deployed in the country. Telecompaper writes that NSN’s DWDM equipment will be deployed on the telco’s existing national fibre-optic route as well as on the optical ground wire (OPGW) routes of state-owned utility NamPower, and will be connected to the local landing station of the new international submarine cable West African Cable System (WACS)
