Israeli cellco Partner Communications has announced that it has inked a five-year agreement with local fixed line incumbent Bezeq, effective as of 1 January 2012, for the supply of transmission services for use in Partner's mobile network. The mobile network operator noted that the deal replaces an earlier agreement between the parties dating back to 2008. Partner has said that it considers the deal ‘an additional part of the overall process of upgrading its cellular network, enhancing the network quality, increasing the browsing speed and the implementation of fourth generation services’.
