France Telecom-Orange today announced it has signed a partnership with Ortel Mobile to host the MVNO on its mobile network in France. Commenting on the tie-up, the CEO of Ortel, Gerben Wijbenga, said: ‘We are pleased to announce this agreement with Orange that will allow us to offer attractive and innovative products to our customers in France, combining the strengths of Ortel Mobile with those of a large multinational operator.’ France Telecom-Orange said in its release that by offering wholesale agreements to other operators, it is promoting competition and optimising the value of its network, in which the parent group invests heavily each year. With close to three million MVNO customers, France Telecom-Orange currently hosts around half of all French MVNOs
