Claro Argentina introduces HSPA+ services

Claro Argentina, which is owned by Mexican mobile giant America Movil, has announced the launch of a HSPA+ network in the country, offering download speeds of up to 5Mbps. In a statement on the company’s website, Claro said it has reached the 19 million subscriber mark in Argentina, while overall wireless customers in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay now exceed 20 million. At the same time, the company has announced the launch of a new online video-on-demand (VoD) service in Argentina, ‘Ideas Entretenimiento’.
